2026年4月24日、神戸大学先端バイオ工学研究センターと、シンガポール国立大学バイオエンジニアリングセンター（National Centre for Engineering Biology）との間で、
部局間学術交流協定を締結しました。
本協定は、蓮沼誠久神戸大学先端バイオ工学研究センター長とMatthew Changシンガポール国立大学バイオエンジニアリングセンター長の長年にわたる研究交流を基盤とするものであり、J-PEAKSの海外連携機関の一つとしての連携強化を目的としています。
今回の協定締結を機に、両センター間の連携を一層推進し、国際共同研究の実施や若手研究者の相互派遣など、研究交流のさらなる活性化を図ります。これにより、J-PEAKSの枠組みのもと、バイオ分野における国際共同研究の発展を一層推進してまいります。

On April 24, 2026 , the Engineering Biology Research Center (EBRC) at Kobe University concluded a department-level academic exchange agreement with the National Centre for Engineering Biology (NCEB) hosted at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
This agreement is built upon years of research collaboration between Professor Tomohisa Hasunuma, Director of EBRC, and Professor Matthew Chang, Executive Director of NCEB. Its primary objective is to strengthen partnerships as part of the J-PEAKS initiative in Japan, in which NUS serves as one of the overseas partner institutions.
Leveraging this agreement, both centers will further promote collaboration and seek to enhance research exchanges, including conducting international joint research projects and implementing mutual exchange programs for young researchers. Through these efforts, EBRC will continue to advance international joint research in the field of engineering biology under the J-PEAKS framework.
