Bio-Digital Promotion Office
Overview
Promoting digitalization in the bioproduction field, with biofoundry at the core
The Bio-Digital Promotion Office aims to promote advanced research that leads to the development of new disciplines and industries in the field of bioproduction by integrating different fields such as robotics and digital technology into biotechnology, as well as developing platforms for collaborative research.
Drawing on its track record of pioneering the establishment of a “biofoundry” that accumulates the core technologies and equipment groups required to create biological materials (cells, enzymes, genes) with new functions or high performance, the Office promotes research aiming at establishing a state-of-the-art DBTL (Design-Build-Test-Learn) cycle that organically incorporates core technologies of synthetic biology, smart breeding, and advanced analysis and bioeconomy.
